This position requires hands-on involvement in electrical calculations, documentation, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager and collaborating closely with the client's electrical team, the Senior Electrical Engineer oversees electrical procurement packages and provides essential support during FAT testing and machine assembly.Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the electrical technical scope of projects, ensuring adherence to project requirements, including deliverables, resource plans, manhours, schedules, and client specifications.
Perform electrical calculations and produce electrical documentation in a hands-on manner, utilizing technical expertise to maintain quality and accuracy.
Provide technical support across electrical procurement packages, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the procurement process aligns with project objectives.
Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) testing and machine assembly activities, verifying compliance with electrical requirements and facilitating successful project implementation.
Interface with the Project Engineering Manager to provide regular updates on project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to ensure project success.
Collaborate effectively with the client's electrical team, fostering positive relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with proven experience in a Senior Electrical Engineering role, with a track record of successfully delivering projects within an OEM / material handling / mining equipment environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical proficiency in electrical engineering principles, with the ability to perform electrical calculations and produce accurate electrical documentation.
Hands-on approach to project involvement, demonstrating the ability to actively engage in electrical tasks and activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in providing technical support for electrical procurement packages and facilitating FAT testing and machine assembly activities.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills in a dynamic project environment.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
