Let’s make a meaningful difference, together!Your part in The Wesley Hospital teamThe Kitchen Hand position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the main kitchen through food preparation, dishwashing and support other basic food service functions as required that comply with the hospital’s food safety program. This position performs a wide range of tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment to maintain adequate levels of clean equipment, utensils and crockery in order to provide our customers with a high-quality hospitality experience. Please note full availability is essential in these roles. This position is required to work across a roster spanning Monday to Sunday (inclusive), between the hours of 5:30am and 9:30pm, on a 7-day rotating roster.What makes a difference for us?
- Previous Kitchen Hand experience in a food service health or hospitality team environment
- Demonstrated understanding and competencies in manual handling training, chemical use, hand hygiene and food safety
- A professional attitude with excellent personal presentation, communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Be proficient in all aspects of food safety.
- Ability to read, measure accurately and perform basic math skills
- Availability to work AM and PM shifts within the Food Services operation (between the hours of 5.30am - 9.30pm on a 7-day rotating roster).
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
