Tropicana has now established itself as an industry leader in operational excellence, offering an attractive working environment and contemporary accommodation and facilities.We are now seeking a Senior Technician - Processing to join our Processing team. This permanent role is based at the Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Supervisor: Operations Processing, this role is accountable forAccountabilities

The main tasks of the roles include:
Maintaining a safe workplace, leading by example and promoting a positive safety culture
Ensuring adherence to site policies and procedures
Identifying and eliminating hazards with a view of achieving an injury free workplace
Reviewing and monitoring adherence to operational procedures
Provide relief support for the operations supervisor as required and adopt all accountabilities for the duration of the relief period
Support the operations supervisor in undertaking on the job training within the team of processing technicians
Maximise the plant performance by adhering to set parameters and ensure KPI's are always met or exceeded
Investigate and suggest potential solutions to plant variations and performance
Operate all operational areas of the processing plant, including the operations center and the tailings storage facility
Assisting with the planning of maintenance activities to avoid impacts to the plan, forecast and budget deliverables
Effective communication, understanding and support given to all other departments based on transparent information sharing

About youPeople are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:

4-5 years' experience in gold processing
Sound computer literacy including MS outlook, office and SAP software
Exposure to SAP and work management systems
A “can do” and proactive attitude
Current WA C class (manual) drivers licence

Permanent work rights in Australia
A National Police Clearance
