Take on an influential role as part of the Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG) Executive!We are seeking a highly capable and innovative clinical service leaders to join our Executive team as a Medical Co-Director at Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG) to co-lead a substantial clinical portfolio – Cancer, Imaging and Clinical Services (CICS) – in one of Western Australia’s most prominent hospital groups.We have 1 (one) vacancy for Permanent or Fixed Term appointment at 60 hours per fortnight to suit the successful applicants’ circumstances. Fixed Term appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.What is our Medical Co-Director role?SCGOPHCG forms part of the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) network and offers health services across several sites including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Osborne Park Hospital, contracted private hospitals, Murdoch Medihotel, care facilities and care in the home.Our Medical Co-Directors provide effective leadership, governance, strategic planning and operational management of their service portfolio within a co-director model. Medical Co-Directors are required to initiate, implement and operationalise strategies as part of SCGOPHCG and North Metropolitan Health Service, and they also have a role to lead state-wide issues to ensure the provision of safe, high-quality and efficient patient care consistent with the Health Service’s safety, quality and performance frameworks. As part of the SCGOPHCG Executive team, Medical Co-Directors are jointly responsible for the clinical and corporate governance of the Health Service.CICS is a diverse and growing service within SCGOPHCG that serves a large part of the WA community for cancer and specialist care.CICS comprises of about 1200 passionate people with incredible technical skills across a wide range of professions, 6 wards, 13 departments, and includes the Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Haematology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology (based at SCGH and OPH), Hepatology (including the WA Liver Transplant Service), Renal Medicine (including Dialysis units based at SCGH and Joondalup Health Campus and the Kidney Transplant Service), Respiratory Medicine, Pulmonary Physiology and Sleep Medicine, Medical Technology & Physics (including Radiopharmaceutical Production and Development, and Visual Electrophysiology), and Neurology (including the WA State Epilepsy Service ).The next CICS Medical Co-Director will lead innovative thinking and finding new ways to provide services to a significantly growing community requiring care, promoting:
