Unit and the Emergency Department.

  • Certification as an International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • Relevant clinical experience in midwifery, neonatal and lactation consultancy
  • Recent experience with the unique feeding needs and capabilities of the sick or pre term infant
  • Demonstrated clinical and interpersonal skills and able to work as part of an enthusiastic team
  • A knowledge of current local and national issues within maternity services, in particular in relation to human lactation, commitment to ongoing education and development of midwives and students,
  • A commitment to foster and promote a woman-centred/client focused approach to care,
  • Ability to work in an autonomous role,
  • A practical common sense approach to problem solving and trouble shooting.
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
