Maintenance Fitter

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on processing and packaging equipment to minimise downtime
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults on mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and gearboxes
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with GMP, HACCP, and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and report issues using site systems or CMMS
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning as needed
• Work closely with the production team to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption
• Identify opportunities for improvements to reliability and efficiency, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area, following all site safety protocols
• Assist with spare parts usage and inventory tracking, raising any low stock concerns
• Participate in training, toolbox talks, and OT/PH coverage when required

• Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter (Cert III Mechanical or equivalent)
• Minimum 4 years’ experience preferred – motivated 1st year out or 3rd year apprentices considered
• Experience working with conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Excellent attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and high hygiene standards
• Good communication and ability to work both independently and in a team
• Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time
