- This role is largely focused on development, but also extends into areas such as process redesign, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring automation solutions deliver meaningful business outcomes.
- Engage with business stakeholders to capture and challenge requirements, helping to streamline and optimise processes before they are automated.
- Estimate development effort and delivery timelines, providing input into prioritisation and planning.
- Participate in and sometimes lead design workshops, ensuring both business requirements and technical feasibility are well understood.
- Design, build, and deliver automation solutions using Automation Anywhere (AA360 preferred), with a focus on scalability, exception handling, and governance.
- Prototype and test solutions, ensuring reliability, quality, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Work with DevOps and platform teams to integrate automations into CI/CD pipelines and enterprise systems.
- Conduct end-to-end testing and validation, ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and production-ready.
- Present progress and outcomes confidently to clients, translating technical delivery into business value.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for optimisation and feeding insights back to both clients and internal teams.
- 2–5 years of experience in delivering technology solutions in enterprise or consulting environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on Automation Anywhere (AA360 preferred) or equivalent RPA platform development experience.
- Strong knowledge of automation lifecycle management, including Control Room, bot deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience engaging with business users to capture requirements, document processes, and challenge assumptions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, Git flow, and agile delivery methodologies.
- A curious mindset, constantly asking “why” and seeking to improve processes, not just automate them.
- Outcome-oriented thinking, focused on delivering value and business results, not just technical deliverables.
- RPA development experience in Automation Anywhere (must have) and preferably exposure to other platforms such as UiPath or Power Automate.
- Broader experience with low-code and integration platforms (e.g., Appian, Pegasystems, Workato, Dell Boomi) is a plus.
- Understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking) to strengthen solution design.
- Confidence to work directly with clients, present solutions, and manage expectations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical discussions.
