Designed to make MVRC one of Melbourne's most prized sports and events destinations, the project will generate new business and tourism opportunities while elevating MVRC into the new realm for generations to come.About the roleThe Membership Executive is required to provide a high-level customer experience for Club members, patrons, partners and the general enquires. The role also seeks to maximise revenue generated from membership and any programmed events for the Moonee Valley Racing Club and to ensure the service provided delights our customers.All MVRC employees will demonstrate commitment to MVRC Values which are:

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for members, providing a high level of customer service and answering all enquiries in a friendly and accurate manner.
  • Processing renewals and new membership applications via phone, mail, and in-person.
  • Outbound calling to follow up members who are yet to renew and new business.
  • Assisting in planning and delivering of Membership Events.
  • Assisting with all CRM booking functions and capabilities including reporting.
  • Preparation of surveys for customer feedback and collation of results.
  • Ensuring data entry into the membership database is accurate and kept updated.
  • Fostering and maintaining effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating ticketing for race days for members, including Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival.
  • Preparation of written member communications and information packs pertaining to events and race meetings.
  • Ensuring effective lines of communication are provided to all departments in strong support of membership experience and customer service.
  • Provide operational support to the Membership & Customer Service Team on MVRC race meetings for members functions in Moonee Ponds, Cranbourne, Caulfield, Flemington Pakenham & Geelong or as required (Friday nights and weekends)
To effectively perform in the role the successful candidate must have the following skills, experience, qualifications:
  • Experience in working both independently, and in a team environment ideally within a customer service or membership role.
  • Demonstrable experience in customer service or membership roles within the sports, events, or hospitality sectors (desired not essential).
  • Experience in quality customer service and communication skills with strong problem-solving skills and a 'can do' customer focused attitude.
  • Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in using CRM systems, with ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Outbound calling and sales conversion experience.
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to meet and manage strict guidelines and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in transaction processing and record documentation.
