Join us.Job DescriptionWhat will a day in this role look like:
  • Carrying out Line route planning and selection using ArcGIS.
  • Using PLS-CADD to carry out design of transmission and distribution lines from feasibility and concept stage to detailed and construction designs, as well as commissioning and post-construction phases.
  • Undertake Electrical design of transmission lines (for Electrical Engineers).
  • Undertaking modelling of structures using PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE and design of respective foundations (for Civil/Structural Engineers).
  • Develop construction drawings and author technical reports per AECOM and Client standards and guidelines.
  • Training and mentoring of junior design engineers.
QualificationsThe following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.What are we looking for from you?
  • At least 5 years of relevant transmission lines industry experience
  • In depth knowledge of transmission line design up to 330kV and higher voltage levels
  • Excellent organisation with strong communication skills, self-motivated and a team player
  • Site experience / experience in projects being constructed
  • University degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in PLS software packages
