If you're passionate about being part of a safe and connected organisation and looking for a rewarding career in mental health, apply today!About the RoleAs a Rehabilitation Support Worker (RSW) in the new MHRS, you will play a key role in supporting consumers on their recovery journey. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will assist individuals in regaining independence, achieving rehabilitation goals, and promoting social inclusion. Your role will focus on providing non-clinical and psychosocial support, working closely with clinical and community services to ensure each consumer's needs are met.   • Qualifications & Experience: A Certificate IV in Mental Health (Non-Clinical) or current enrolment in an undergraduate course in a relevant health discipline. Experience working in a health team environment, particularly within mental health services, is highly regarded.
  • Skills & Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work both independently and under direction, and a proven ability to assist with rehabilitative tasks in both individual and group settings. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
  • Knowledge & Understanding: A solid understanding of mental health rehabilitation and recovery principles, relevant legislation, and the national mental health reform agenda. Knowledge of psychiatric disabilities and their impact on individuals and communities is highly desirable.
  • Personal Attributes: A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting individuals in achieving their rehabilitation goals. Competency in supporting self-management strategies, engaging with multiple stakeholders, and using basic computer and data entry skills effectively.
