The Role
As a Consultant / Specialist Anaesthetist, you will:
  • Deliver high?quality anaesthetic services across a broad case mix, including elective and emergency surgery
  • Assist the Clinical Director with service planning, patient safety initiatives, and quality improvement
  • Provide education and supervision to Registrars, Provisional Fellows, PHOs, JMOs and Interns
  • Engage in research, audit, and multidisciplinary service development
Scope of practice
The Anaesthetics Department provides services for:
  • Orthopaedics, trauma, general surgery, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics
  • ENT, dental, ECT and endoscopy
  • Pre?assessment clinic, acute pain service, obstetric epidural service
  • Trauma and cardiac arrest team support

  • Fellowship of ANZCA (FANZCA) OR ANZCA SIMG assessment as Substantially Comparable
  • Broad experience in anaesthesia, including emergency and paediatrics
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong leadership skills and commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement
  • Dedication to teaching and mentoring junior doctors
