Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeLocation: Sydney or ParramattaType: 6 month fixed-term contractHybrid role, happy to talk flexible workingThe opportunityWe have the opportunity for a Power Platform Designer & Developer to join the QBE Digital team to help us build scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions that transform how we work. You’ll be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and documenting complex programs and scripts based on agreed specifications and standards. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to review requirements and ensure successful implementation of software solutions, including ServiceNow integrations aligned with business needs.Your new roleSolution Design & ArchitectureDesign end-to-end Power Platform solutions using Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven), Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.Develop scalable, maintainable architectures aligned with enterprise standards.Integrate with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure, and third-party systems.Design Patterns & Reusable TemplatesCreate and maintain reusable components, templates, and design patterns for common use cases.Define best practices for UI/UX, performance, and accessibility.Promote low-code/no-code frameworks to support citizen development.Governance & ComplianceEnsure adherence to governance, security, and compliance policies (e.g., DLP, GDPR, HIPAA).Implement ALM best practices using Power Platform Pipelines or Azure DevOps CI/CD.Apply role-based access control and conduct regular audits.Development & CustomizationConfigure and customize Power Platform components using low-code/no-code and pro-code (JavaScript, TypeScript, Power Fx, C#).Build custom connectors, APIs, and integrations.Design efficient data models using Dataverse, SQL, and other sources.Collaboration & Stakeholder EngagementPartner with business analysts, developers, and end-users to translate requirements into technical designs.Lead workshops and training sessions to support citizen developers and IT teams.Drive change management and user adoption.Monitoring & OptimizationMonitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize licensing and API usage.Analyze usage patterns and recommend improvements or decommissioning.Seek automation opportunities to streamline operations.About youWe’re looking for someone who:Has hands-on experience designing and developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform.Understands enterprise architecture principles and integration strategies.Is passionate about low-code/no-code development and enabling citizen developers.Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex problems.Is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.About QBEWe can never really predict what’s around the corner, but at QBE we’re asking the right questions to enable a more resilient future – helping those around us build strength and embrace change to their advantage.
