We’ve developed a unique method to provide risk financing and management solutions for Local Government clients. JLT works with mutual funds in particular, demonstrates this ability to work innovatively with our clients to produce effective solutions designed to protect their assets, people and community. We proudly service over 500 Local Government organisations across Australia.Our Perth team manage a not-for-profit industry based mutual indemnity scheme (LGISWA) owned by 145 Western Australia local governments and focused on meeting their unique requirements. To learn more please visitThis position if part-time, 15 hours per week, fixed term for two years.You will manage a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims. This role requires you to deliver high quality claims management services, working collaboratively with the clients and our broader claims team to produce cost effective outcomes for the scheme. We will count on you to:

Deal efficiently with the client enquiries.
Contribute to planning and delivery of relationship management through regular and constructive communications with clients.
Visit clients and legal providers regularly.
Providing end-to-end claims management.
Submit claims reports as required.
Continuously work towards professional development by attending external and internal sessions.
Ensure compliance with Worker Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, including the Principle and Standards as set out by the Regulator.

What you need to have:

Knowledge and insurance claims experience in Workers Compensation and claims.
Experience in the interpretation of relevant acts in making liability decisions.
Experience in the management of complex claims.
Demonstrated initiative and understanding when managing confidential information.

Computer literacy, including intermediate skills in MS Excel, Outlook & Word.
