The OpportunityWe currently have an exciting vacancy for a Signalling Specialist to join ACCIONA Rail, you will be responsible for coordinating the design, review and delivery of signalling to support the business. This will include the ability to effectively assist all stakeholders to deliver design solutions in accordance with Project Requirements Specification (PRS) and the technical operations.Responsibilities
  • Actively work with project delivery teams to ensure smart engineering and staging concepts are well planned and executed
  • Assist with designers and sub-consultant interface requirements to ensure project objectives are met
  • Providing technical signalling advice to delivery and design teams
  • Input to the Quality Assurance management during Occupations and Completions Management (Forms 24’s, Red Line Drawings, As Built Drawings, DMS requirements, Asset and Maintenance handover)
  • Resolve design control challenges, proactively improve design quality and efficiency,
  • Support regular critical path reviews and adjust plans, identifying commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies,
  • Facilitate risk mitigation workshops and collaborate with teams to address high-impact risks
  • Anticipate challenges in approval processes and resolve them proactively, develop streamlined approval processes for efficiency
  • Facilitate cross disciplinary constructability and value engineering sessions, overseeing design change control processes
  • Balance design growth with project cost and schedule constraints, anticipate potential constructability and design growth issues
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building or similar
  • We are flexible on years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience on a Rail/Civil Infrastructure project
  • The ability to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgement
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and related software packages, with proficiency in Excel and Project a must (proficiency in Primavera P6 an advantage)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
