About the roleHealth Information Services is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our patient information team. This is a part time position three days per week, 8.30am to 5pm, 48 hours per fortnight. The job classification and wage rate are HS1, Level 1 as per the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025.As a member of the patient information team, you will assist with the maintenance and provision of patient records for patient care, research and education.The position will utilise the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR), iPM (Patient Administration System), and other electronic information systems used for document scanning purposes.The ideal candidate will meet the following essential requirements:

All patient record information is accurately retrieved and stored within specified time frames
Adapt and assist the implementation of workflow process changes requested by management

2. Patient data and patient record maintenance
Enter and maintain accurate record location data within Epic and iPM
Apply policies and procedures in all aspects of work
Maintain patient records in accordance with national record keeping standards
3. Uploading, monitoring and auditing of scanned documents into Onbase scanning software and Epic
All paper and electronic documents received in HIS are prepared for scanning according to agreed standards
Monitoring of scanned document queues to ensure timely uploading of all documents into Onbase and availability in Epic
Immediate attention to Urgent uploading requests
All documents uploaded within agreed timelines
All documents uploaded accurately and clearly viewable in correct patient record
Audits of scanned documents according to HIS Auditing Program
Provision of audit results according to HIS Auditing Program
4. Provision of effective administrative support
Undertake all duties in line with Peter Mac policies and procedures
Perform role in line with confidentiality and privacy requirements
Participate in training and development that is offered during business hours
Work cooperatively as part of the team and assist other areas and staff as necessary
Participate in staff education to ensure quality and accuracy of data entry is maintained and correct procedures are followed
Offer suggestions to improve work processes
Maintain knowledge and skill base required for effective performance and identify learning needs
Support and train new employees when required
Participate fully in the performance appraisal process
Other tasks as directed by your Team Leader or Manager
