Led by a renowned industry director known for prioritising client-focused solutions over cost-cutting and utilisation metrics, this consultancy has built an enviable reputation.Their success spans sectors including aged care, education, community projects, and residential developments, and they are highly regarded by top architectural firms across the region.The RoleAs the Associate Mechanical Engineer and Discipline Lead, you’ll be a pivotal part of the team, responsible for:Team Leadership: Guiding a multidisciplinary team of engineers in close collaboration with architects, builders, and project managers.Mentorship & Development: Growing, mentoring, and developing a high-performing Mechanical team.Business Development: Partnering with the director to drive client engagement, marketing, and new business opportunities.Project Delivery: Leading HVAC design, including plans, specifications, and compliance calculations.Site Involvement: Overseeing inspections, testing, and commissioning of HVAC installations.Quality Assurance: Taking a lead role in the QA and verification of mechanical designs across the team.The Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with Chartered or Professional Engineer registration
Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects, including financial and coordination aspects
Expertise in HVAC system design within an Australian building services consultancy or Mechanical Contractor
Experience with business development, including marketing and fee proposal writing
A passion for mentoring and developing engineers
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Full Australian work rights
