Working within the global Mission Systems and RTX professional network of engineering specialists; your new role will enable the provision of critical capabilities to the Australian Defence Force.Key responsibilities of your role will include:

Working with business development and customer organisations to understand customer and end user product/system needs, challenges and opportunities.
Research and provide advice on the evolving operational landscape associated with the product/system and technology domain and future operational capability needs.
Work with company SMEs and third-party organisations to understand the current status and roadmaps for related technologies.
Develop solution options and evaluate these options to identify an optimal solution approach.
Define the preferred solution path and develop associated program and technical plans.
Work with business development, program management partners and the customer to develop and define the associated program of work.

Skills and experience:

Experience and knowledge of command, control, communications and computer systems (C4) in a Defence environment, particularly those involving radios, tactical data links and related communications networking products, technologies and systems in the Land domain.
Experience working as a solutions or product architect or as an engineering technical lead in product/system development, ideally in relation to Land C4 products or systems.
Knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed design approaches and standards in the Land C4 domain.
Clear understanding of the current Land C4 product landscape and the technical state of the art.
Experience working with Land C4 customers in an Australian Defence context.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, particularly with customers, and the ability to collaborate and work well with others in a professional team environment.
Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree.
This position requires the availability to travel within Australia and internationally as required (flexibility and notice will be given).

Successful candidates must hold and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at minimum NV1. Eligibility can be found at as well as be eligible to be certified in compliance against ITAR technology access requirements.
