Job Description:GHD has become a respected leader in the Water sector in ACT, and we aim to create designs that are both functional and practical, that challenge design parameters, and most importantly, meet the needs of our clients and communities.We offer opportunities to work with a diverse range of long-standing clients, including Icon Water, Defence, DFAT, Shoalhaven Water and Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council to name a few.In your role, you will have the ideal balance of technical leadership and client relationship management in the delivery of proposals, reports and technical design. You'll have responsibility for appreciating client or project technical requirements, developing solutions and leading the preparation of multi-disciplinary design documentation for the engagement and delivery of works for water authority clients.We are looking for individuals who are interested in working within a dynamic design-led environment with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and delivery of high-quality outcomes for clients.This diverse and exciting position will see you involved in:

Project scope establishment, tender preparation, design and project management
Managing project budgets to deliver positive financial outcomes that balance quality and schedule requirements while meeting or even exceeding client expectations
Frequent liaison with clients to define and clarify scope, technical requirements, and drive project outputs.
Mentoring and development of junior team members, continuing the successful growth of the team.

What would you bring to the team?

Degree qualified Civil Engineer with 12+ years' proven experience in the detailed design/ preparation of technical documentation, with some of this experience in the delivery of water infrastructure projects
Willingness to contribute to and lead business development activities backed by an active professional network
The ability to appreciate a project and the value the client seeks to derive from it and use that to engage and excite clients to win work with innovative design solutions
Strong communication, a positive mindset and drive with a passion for creativity and personal development
Flexibility to work autonomously and in diverse teams including the mentoring and direction of junior staff.
