- Providing personal care (e.g. showering and dressing)
- Complexed bowel care
- Complexed catheter care
- Wound management
- Medication administration
- Meal preparation, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and other household duties
- Taking clients to appointments and helping them pursue social/leisure activities with the use of a wheelchair van.
- Updating progress notes and record keeping
- Daily handovers to supports taking over from your shift.
- Other adhoc duties as per client request.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in disability support
- Sling hoisting, slide sheets, and safe transfer practices.
- Supporting clients with complexed spinal injuries.
- Complexed bladder and bowel care trained
- Catheter experience
- Autonomic Dysreflexia
- Certificate III or higher in Disability or Individual Support - Mandatory
- Significant experience with high care disability support.
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience driving Multi-purpose wheelchair vehicles
- Own transport
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Police clearance less than 12 months old
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid, CPR & Manual Handling
- Ability to work at least 30 hours per week at a minimum
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Must have a minimum of Cert III in individual support qualification
- Excellent language and communication skills
- Attention to detail when writing shift notes
- Flexibility
