- Meeting the child or young persons daily care needs such as personal hygiene, health and well-being, medical, transportation, recreational and educational support needs.
- Contribute to and maintain a quality care environment for all children and young people that is safe, clean and personalised to those that live there.
- Document accurately events and developments related to the day-to-day provision of care on the child or young persons journey with us.
- Teaching important capacity building skills to children and young people living with a diagnosed disability
- Ensure children and young people's NDIS plans are accessible for them while in our care
- Utilising trauma informed practices and supports in day-to-day care provision for children and young people.
- Providing positive behaviour support, therapeutic interventions and safety to children and young people who may experience events of escalation and crisis.
- Supporting young people in developing essential life skills, including education, vocational training, and independent living skills.
- Encouraging and facilitate opportunities for social engagement, recreation, and community involvement.
- Collaborating with the care team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of the children and young people Support young people in developing essential life skills, including education, vocational training, and independent living skills.
- Acting as a mentor and role model, providing guidance and support in developing healthy interpersonal relationships.
- Promoting and support positive relationships and connection for children and young people with family, culture and community.
- Empowering young people to set and achieve personal goals, fostering a sense of agency and autonomy in their lives.
- Supporting children and young people to identify their strengths and aspirations, helping them build a positive vision for their future.
- Help children and young people reach developmental and life milestones towards a healthy, happy and thriving life.
