The Nurse Manager provides leadership and direction in the organisation ensure the delivery of best practice nursing, individual focused care and the management and organisation of the service.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registered Nurse Division 1.
- Extensive post registration clinical experience within the acute care setting with recent experience in senior nursing management positions.
- Proven leadership qualities and the ability to set priorities, establish and achieve agreed objectives particularly surrounding patient access and clinical innovation related to patient flow processes and KPI achievement.
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to use critical thinking skills in problem solving.
- Effective negotiation and conflict management skills with the ability to motivate staff and maintain effective relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative, creative, motivational and self directed with workplace projects and clinical innovation which reflect person centred care priorities.
- Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office computer applications, Health Support platforms and the Patient Flow Portal.
