Williamstown Emergency Department is looking for Career Medical Officers (CMO) to provide clinical leadership and management of patients and undertake clinical duties for the unit under the supervision and direction of the Department Head of Unit or Senior Medical Officer in charge. The CMO – Emergency Medicine, will provide high quality clinical emergency care to patients attending the Emergency Department as well as providing support to the junior medical staff.To be Successful in this Role, you will have:Essential
  • Current medical registration with AHPRA without any restrictions
  • 1 year or greater experience in Australia ED at registrar level
  • 3 months or greater experience in a paediatric ED
  • Current ALS qualification
  • Clinical competence as required for level of position
  • Ability to work as part of a team and supervise a JMO
  • Commitment to professional development
Desirable
  • 3 months or greater experience in an anesthetics rotation; feels comfortable in managing non-difficult intubation and ventilator management.
  • 3 months or greater experience in an intensive care rotation; feels comfortable in managing patients on Non-Invasive Ventilation
  • Current APLS qualification
  • Ability to lead an adult or paediatric resuscitation
  • Australasian College of Emergency Medicine Certificate or Diploma
