- Identify and implement solutions to maximise grid integration and generation output of Acciona’s operational assets.
- Provide technical support to the resolution of regulatory issues that may impact the power output at Acciona’s generation assets.
- Provide technical support to ensure all Acciona’s operational wind farms meet NER compliance obligations on an ongoing basis.
- Identification of generation asset improvements and provide leadership during the implementation of improvement projects.
- Identify and track improvement initiatives for energy asset performance in coordination with the Acciona’s Energy Markets department.
- Support the use of tools such as PSCAD, Digsilent and PSSE models to enhance compliance with generator regulations and maximize the integration of assets within the Australian electricity grid.
- Collaboration with Acciona's Engineering & Construction department in the correct integration of new assets into Operations to ensure ongoing grid compliance and grid integration.
- Develop and maintain an optimal and productive relationship with AEMO and TNSP’s.
- Work with TNSP/DNSPs and AEMO to forecast and coordinate outage windows for the completion of maintenance works at each of the operational sites.
- Provide technical support on NER compliance surveillance matters and complete ongoing compliance assessments of operational assets.
- Ensure that a strong working relationship is maintained with head office in Australia, Spain and across operational sites to ensure the success of the business goals in line with Acciona’s policies, practices and procedures.
- Assist in the overall management of documentation within Acciona’s document management systems.
- Assist in the completion of all internal and external reporting obligations.
- Contribute to maintenance and improvement of the technical standards and company procedures.
- Qualification in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
- Experience working with electricity generation assets, transmission or distribution industries.
- Experience working with energy regulators or similar.
- Understanding of software tools such as PSCAD, PSSE and DIgSILENT
- Understanding of Australian regulatory reporting and compliance requirements for generators.
- Experience with contractor management (beneficial).
- Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical plant, equipment, communications and control systems as related to energy generation assets.
- Strong written and oral communication skills coupled with attention to detail.
- Applied knowledge on reporting systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix structure
