Fuse Recruitment are currently sourcing for an experienced 8 Tonne forklift Operator to work in a Despatch environment for a National Leader in their field specialising in building products.
Located in the Parramatta region with onsite parking and also accessible by public transport.For You:
  • Rosehill Location (Next to Parramatta)
  • Building and construction industry
  • Day Shift
  • 6am starts
  • 3pm Finishes
  • Daily Overtime available
  • $46 p/hr + Super
Duties:In this role you will work as a Despatch All rounder. Duties will not be limited to 8 tonne forklift operation and you will complete manual handling duties for 50% of your shift daily. You will also be working with oversized pallets and products up to 6 metres long.
You will be operating forklifts on shared roads, hence a NSW valid Drivers license is needed for this role.8 Forklift operation:
  • Loading and unloading Rigids, B-Doubles and Semis
  • Loading Oversized pallets up to 6 meters long
  • Transfer products from Staging area to despatch
  • Transfer products from despatch to staging and pick face areas
  • Receiving and Despatch duties
Manual Handling:
  • Pick packing products
  • Wrapping and strapping pallets
  • Pallet Jack Duties
  • Matching Paperwork to orders
  • Data entry work
This is a loud, dusty and at times dirty environment to work in.The Candidate:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have:
  • Current valid NSW LF Forklift license
  • Current valid NSW Drivers license
  • 8 tonne forklift operating experience
  • Experience loading and unloading trucks (Rigids, B-Doubles and Semis)
  • Experience in oversized pallets and working with ugly freight
  • Pick packing, palletising stock
  • Shrink wrapping (Both manual and machine operated)
  • Experience working with oversized stock such as timber and wood products
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent WHS knowledge
  • An ability to commit to the role in an ongoing capacity
