Grounded in a person-centred approach, this role ensures that care is not only clinically sound but also emotionally supportive, culturally sensitive, and aligned with the values and preferences of patients and their families. The CNS Grade 2 draws on advanced clinical expertise and critical thinking to assess complex needs, initiate appropriate interventions, and advocate for best practice in palliative care delivery.Working in close partnership with patients, families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team-including physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff-the CNS Grade 2 facilitates collaborative care planning to achieve clearly defined goals and optimal outcomes. This includes symptom management, psychosocial support, and end-of-life care coordination. View our for information on how to respond to criteria and . * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in providing complex care in the relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based nursing care.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
