Design & Build have partnered with a leading EPC business on some of Australia's key energy transition projects, think multi-million dollar development involving solar, BESS & transmission & substations.This is an Australian business has doubled their renewable energy portfolio in the last 2 years and is hiring key people in leadership positions to continue the growth. Are you one of them?Key responsibilities for the Design Manager:

Design management: Leading a multidisciplinary design team to deliver the high-quality technical project on time.
Stakeholder management: Liaising with client, internal and external teams, and construction to ensure alignment and integration of design solutions.
Cost management: Monitoring and controlling design expenditures using robust tracking systems to optimise budgets and prevent overruns.
Design governance: Ensuring all deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards through effective QA processes.
Technical oversight: Directing primary & secondary design, conducting design reviews, and collaborating with external consultants on electrical studies.

What you’ll bring:

Proven experience as a Design Manager similar on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations).
Primary design engineering experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
CPEng or working towards it
Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia)
