Our client is a leading institutional investment manager that specialises in alternative investment opportunities across Australian and global markets.Reporting into the Head of Institutional Distribution, you will play an integral role within the Client Solutions team, leading key account management and business development efforts and across Australia. Your role will focus on driving capital growth, cultivating strong relationships with clients and prospects, identifying key investor trends and market insights, and delivering best-in-class business development solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Market Coverage
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of the Australian institutional landscape, including key clients, consultants, and market dynamics.
- Develop and implement strategic engagement plans for priority clients and prospects, ensuring a coordinated and transparent approach across internal teams.
- Represent the firm in meetings, roadshows, and industry events, delivering compelling presentations and insights to senior stakeholders.
- Align business development efforts with capital raising priorities, identifying new opportunities in collaboration with investment and distribution teams.
- Support fee negotiations and mandate structuring, contributing to revenue growth and client retention strategies.
- Lead proactive client engagement, ensuring timely delivery of updates, reporting, and strategic reviews.
- Design and manage client plans that reflect key decision-makers, engagement touchpoints, and tailored communication strategies.
- Act as the primary escalation point for client issues, ensuring swift resolution and continuous improvement.
- Champion the use of CRM tools to enhance transparency and pipeline visibility across the team.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture by sharing insights, removing roadblocks, and advocating for client needs internally.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in institutional business development or relationship management within investment management.
- Strong knowledge of investment strategies, institutional sales processes, and client servicing models.
- Strong investment technical knowledge and skills within alternative investments - CFA of CAIA are highly regarded
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
