Maurice Blackburn, experience you can count on.About the roleWe're looking for a skilled and passionate part-time lawyer to join our Road Injuries team, primarily based at our Dandenong office. We're also open to candidates located in other South East suburbs.This is a permanent part-time position, offering flexible hours between 0.6 to 0.8 FTE.As a member of our Road Injuries practice, you'll work alongside a team of experienced and specialised lawyers who are deeply committed to delivering justice for all. Your role will focus on providing a seamless and supportive client experience, helping individuals achieve favourable outcomes during challenging times.You'll also contribute to file management and business development across our regional offices as needed. Ideally, you bring 2-3 years' post-admission experience (PAE) in Road, Work, or Personal Injuries law, along with a strong sense of drive, determination, and compassion for our clients.The experience we are looking for:
  • At least 2-3 years of Post Admission Experience (PAE): You should have a solid foundation of legal practice and experience
  • Specialised Experience in Personal Injuries: We are looking for someone who has worked within a personal injuries' environment, with a background in handling road, work, or public liability matters.
  • Team Collaboration: The ability to work effectively within a team is crucial. You should be adept at collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Proactive File Management: Demonstrated experience in taking a proactive approach to managing files is essential. You should be able to handle cases efficiently and anticipate potential issues before they arise.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is necessary to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of your work.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills are a must. You should have a proven track record of providing high-level client service and maintaining positive client relationships.
