- general file maintenance including regular electronic filing, opening and closing files;
- answering telephone calls for the team including attending to basic enquiries;
- drafting and filing of court documents across multiple common law jurisdictions;
- liaising with Counsel and compiling of briefs;
- managing lawyers’ diaries in busy litigated practice;
- coordinating all outgoing correspondence;;
- providing support to other legal assistants;
- maintaining Partners/lawyers’ contacts in our firm CRM InterAction, including assisting with list management on their behalf for events and communications; and
- other administration duties as required.
- minimum three years legal assistant experience;
- experience in a workers' compensation or general personal injury practice is desirable, applicants from either a Plaintiff or Defendant background are encouraged to apply;
- highly organised;
- strong attention to detail;
- excellent communication skills;
- ability to prioritise and perform to deadlines; and
- reliable, punctual, flexible and able to demonstrate initiative.
