JOIN US - SHAPE LIVES - BUILD YOUR CAREERAbout the Role:We’re seeking a skilled Management Accountant to drive financial analysis, budgeting, and procurement functions that support Challenge’s operational and strategic goals.Working closely with the CFO and senior finance leaders, you’ll ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability and provide clear, data-driven insights for decision-making.Benefits:Salary starting from approx. $110,000 per annum (negotiable for highly experienced applicants)Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax-free per year (if eligible)Meal and entertainment card up to $2,650 pre-tax (if eligible)Option to purchase additional annual leaveOngoing training and professional developmentAnnual flu vaccinationFitness Passport for you and your familyBirthday leave – take the day off to celebrate you!Duties:Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting functionsAssist CFO with long-term planning, financial modelling, and scenario analysisOversee procurement functions in line with best practiceProvide accurate, data-driven financial advice for strategic decision-makingDevelop and maintain financial systems and reporting toolsSupport audits, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with Australian Accounting StandardsContinuously improve financial policies, systems, and processesSkills and Experience:Essential:Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance roleStrong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and financial reportingProven ability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisEffective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving and change management abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systemsDesirable:CPA, CA, or other relevant postgraduate qualificationsUnderstanding of the not-for-profit or community services sector (particularly disability and child protection)About Us:For over 65 years, Challenge Community Services has provided disability services, foster care, allied health, and supported employment.
