Rail Maintenance Support Officer - Nebo, QLD

- Paid, nationally recognised training – no rail experience required
- Start in a casual training role with classroom and practical components
- Transition to full-time, fixed-term employment upon successful completion of training and Verification of Competency (VOC)
- Pay progression is linked to training milestones and competency sign-off
- On completion of VOC’s, earn up to $46.13 per hour, plus paid annual leave, personal leave, and superannuation.
- Drive-In/Drive-Out to Nebo – accommodation and meals provided during shifts
- Lifestyle roster: 4 days on, 4 days off (12-hour shifts: day and night rotation)
- All PPE provided
- Supportive team and on-site supervisors
- Performing train inspections and safety checks
- Supporting wagon maintenance
- Safely operating tools, machinery and performing shunting tasks
- Accurately maintaining records and reporting defects
- Liaising with planners, supervisors, and contractors to ensure smooth wagon movements
- Participating in toolbox talks and following all safety procedures

- Able to follow instructions and procedures in a safety-critical environment
- Reliable, fit for shift work, and capable of working independently or in a team
- Full C Class Driver Licence (or higher)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to pass a Category 1 Rail Medical, fitness assessment, and ongoing drug/alcohol testing
- Valid National Police Clearance (with no court outcomes)
- Prepared to work away from home on rostered shifts
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills to complete written assessments
