The Oral Health Team at South Western Sydney Local Health District are recruiting for enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Assistants to join the team.We are looking for someone who is passionate about high quality oral health care has communication skills to be able to build rapport with clients to promote positive health outcomes. The role is focused around ensuring excellence in quality patient centred care and you will be able to easily involve the patients and their families/carers in safe oral health practices.This role is a great chance for you to step into this role and gain valuable experience and the management team are supportive of professional development and career progression.What You'll be Doing
The Dental Assistant will undertake a full range of dental assistant duties providing clinical support and assisting with the efficient delivery of a high quality Oral Health service to eligible clients within South Western Sydney Local Health District.Where You'll Be Working

  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to service performance and accountability in a Community Oral Health setting including competence in electronic oral health record and Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, team work and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Oral Health Service policies and procedures.
  • Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
