
Maintenance Electrician

- Respond to equipment and services breakdowns.
- Ensure all services and equipment are in working condition at the start of each day.
- Accurately record maintenance and breakdown times.
- Ensure equipment and services availability for production.
- Provide maintenance support to the entire site
- Daily and weekly maintenance schedule updates to our Operations Manager and GM
- Complies with company and legislative requirements with respect to OHS
- Assists management to comply with OH&S duty of care.
- Supervises work activities to ensure safe working practices are adopted.
- Assists in HIRAC hazard identification, risk and control.
- Authority and responsibility for aspects of the Food Safety and Environmental systems as documented in the relevant section of the Quality Assurance Program.
- Share information and ideas, and actively encourage participation from others.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on all plant, equipment and services.
- Complete work orders using the MEX CMMS system.
- Liaise with accredited third party contractors who provide approved specified and specialist works and services, monitor competence and completion of works and be responsible for their attendance whilst onsite.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on schedule and work requests completed within required time.
- Support the onsite Maintenance team, and regular check-ins with our National Facilities Manager (MEL based).
- Demonstrated success in a similar role.
- Minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
- Welding or fabrication experience (desired but not essential).
- Experience using maintenance management CMMS software (ideally MEX)
- Experience with PLC`s and programming.
- Proven track record in achieving KPIs.
- Demonstrated experience as a trades person within a manufacturing facility.
- Detailed understanding of food production processes and equipment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills is desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within strict time scales is desirable.
- Ability to clearly communicate with operational staff.
- Proven track record in achieving KPIs is desirable.
- Ability to identify process improvements and provide feedback is desirable.
