- Electrical Engineering degree with a power system and/or power electronics focus.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles, generator protection, SCADA, and experience in generation, transmission.
- Extensive experience in generator commissioning and testing and review processes, policies to achieve improved team performance.
- Proven knowledge of the National Electricity Market and operations of the High Voltage network
- Experience with PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory software and power system modelling experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, specifically relating to electricity transmission, distribution and generation.
- Knowledge of national electricity rules applicable to the security of the system and the performance requirement of generating systems.
- Highly refined written and verbal communications for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Substantial experience in the legislation and technical standards guiding system planning of electrical networks engineering and operations.
