- Perform external audits for a variety of clients, adhering to audit standards and guidelines (Preferrably the NFP space)
- Evaluate financial statements, transactions, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Identify and assess potential financial and operational risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with client personnel to gather relevant information and documentation.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports outlining findings and recommendations.
- Stay updated with changes in auditing standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in external auditing.
- Strong understanding and application of Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) and Australian Standards of Auditing (ASAs)
- Proficiency in using auditing software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
