The Cronulla Sharks are seeking House Parents to provide a safe, supportive, and structured home environment for athletes living in the club's residential house.We're looking for a dependable and caring person (or couple, such as a Mum & Dad team) who can create a positive, nurturing space while helping our young players develop life skills, independence, and the professionalism required to succeed both on and off the field.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day to day care, guidance, and supervision for resident athletes
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
  • Support athletes with life skills such as cooking, cleaning, time management, and budgeting
  • Encourage positive study, training, and lifestyle habits
  • Maintain open communication with families, club staff, and support services
  • Uphold and enforce club boundaries, rules, and values
  • Assist with cultural understanding and integration where needed
Ideal Candidate(s):
  • Warm, approachable, and organised
  • Able to balance care with clear expectations and accountability
  • Strong relationship building skills with young people and families
  • Culturally aware and inclusive
  • Experience in mentoring, education, or pastoral care is highly regarded
  • Holds a current driver's license and can assist with transport where needed

Requirements:
  • Undergo a comprehensive screening process, which includes a national criminal history check, Working with Children clearance, and identity verification.
