We are recruiting for full-time psychologists working Monday to Friday within the Allied Health team and will provide services to the Adult Mental Health Unit, Mental Health Short Stay Unit, and to any mental health surge wards.Under limited direction of the Allied Health Manager and Allied Health Clinical Lead you will perform independent professional judgement on routine matters and under routine professional supervision for more complex tasksYou will: * Provide appropriate assessments and interventions using established principle, techniques, and methods, to people with complex and serious mental health conditions. Including clinical assessment and intervention may include but not limited to:
  • Case formulation and treatment planning.
  • Psycho educational and structured psychological therapy interventions (both individual and group- based) for complex mental health conditions.
  • Specialist assessment and reports, including psychometric testing and outcome measures, and structured clinical interviews.
  • Crisis management and safety planning based on Psychological principles.
  • While communicating with carers, children, nominated persons, GPs, and other service providers in the recovery planning process, as required.
  • Participate in the therapeutic group program, including evaluation of the program.
  • Adhere to risk management processes, identifying and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Complete clinical and program records to standards required and meet data collection requirements.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, continuing professional development and personal performance review process. Provide professional supervision and training to Health Professionals Level 1, Allied health Assistants, students, and other support staff.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of clinical governance activities, quality improvement projects, research programs, and health promotion in areas relevant to service.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.
