Initially this is a 12 month contract with the potential to move into a permanent role.The RoleAs the Financial Accountant you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and your responsibilities will include:Your duties will include:Prepare AR dashboard, ageing and provision calculationsMonth-end book closing, reporting and year-end processTax and regulatory compliance - Declarations, BAS, Payroll tax, GST etc.Expense accounting & reportingReview of accruals and prepayments to ensure correct timing of revenue and cost recognition.AR management, credit-hold & collection follow-upBalance Sheet management including GL account reconciliationsSupport annual and quarterly business budgeting and forecastingYour ProfileQualifications - CA/CPA (working towards)Experience - Proven experience providing in similar Financial Accounting positionsOrganisational Skills - Ability to prioritise and be deadline drivenCommunication skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMotivation - A proactive go-getter attitudeAttention to Detail - High levels of accuracy and keen eye for detailSystems - Experience working with integrated financial systems (SAP preferred)This role suits a commercially experienced accountant who understands the key to providing meaningful insights is through excellent communication and relationship building skills.
