Join the Lahoud Laboratory at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as a Research Fellow and delve into ground-breaking research on dendritic cells and their role in damage recognition.As a Level A research-only academic, you'll play a vital role in:
  • Conducting innovative research projects under limited supervision, contributing to publications and presentations
  • Managing multifaceted projects, overseeing research by students to achieve project goals
  • Utilizing advanced laboratory techniques including molecular biology, flow cytometry, and protein expression
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and attending conferences to expand your professional network
  • Contributing to ethics, biosafety, and compliance applications
  • Mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in your field of expertise
  • Developing research-related materials for teaching purposes
  • Engaging in departmental meetings and committees to contribute to the academic community
To qualify, you'll need:
  • A doctoral qualification in Immunology and/or Molecular Biology
  • Expertise in recombinant protein/antibody engineering and immunotherapeutic approaches
  • Strong analytical and manuscript preparation skills, evidenced by a track record of research publications
  • Proficiency in animal models, molecular biology techniques, and flow cytometry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Awareness of confidentiality and privacy principles
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new software
