Great benefits!Ongoing supervision and comprehensive career supportContinuing professional development leaveUp to 5 weeks annual leave and monthly ADO'sAbout the RoleThe position provides psychological services to adult consumers of the Casey Acute Crisis Intervention Service (ACIS). ACIS provides urgent community-based assessment and treatment options (including referral onwards, acute inpatient admission, and short-term treatment) to consumers in the acute phase of mental illness. The focus of the position is to provide evidence-based psychological services to adult consumers who are presenting with acute symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, personality disorders, depression and other mental health disorders. Key result areas:Conduct psychological assessments and provide meaningful feedback as per the model of care, including contributing to diagnostic clarification, formulation and treatment planningUse diagnosis, formulation, and consumers' preferences to develop and deliver effective, evidence-based psychological intervention as per the model of care, including:Single session therapyPsychoeducation about the nature of their mental illness, treatment options, and coping strategiesAssist consumers to develop strategies to prevent relapse, including recognising early warning signs and developing strategies to address themUse evidence-based practice to develop and implement behaviour support plansEngage with families and carers, including providing psychoeducation about the nature of the consumer's mental illness, treatment options, and coping strategiesOffer a psychological perspective to the treating team and other relevant stakeholdersEngage in supervision as per supervision policiesPractice ethically and professionally, including adhering to legal, ethical and organisational standards,including Mental Health and Wellbeing Act (2022)Participate in clinical research projects, or pilot projects associated with service development, including data collection and analysisActively participate in reaching operational business Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)Participate in department meetings and other meetings when requested or requiredMentor provisional psychologists on student placementFor a confidential discussion and to explore the opportunity further, please call Campbell Seers on 8768 1297.Psychologist Gr 2 Position Description can bePsychologist Gr 3 Position Description can beWe recognise the value of equal employment opportunity.
