Here at the Lauriston Swim School, our Learn to Swim instructors are responsible for delivering structured in water classes for children aged 4-15 years old, focusing on water safety and stroke development.To be successful in the role, you will have the following experience and qualifications: - AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
- CPR Certificate
- Experience in instructing LTS programs and delivering skill specific lesson plans is desirable
- Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate a variety of aquatic skills to children of all abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills
First Aid qualifications are looked upon favourably, but not essential.If you are not yet qualified, but are interested in becoming a swim instructor, please follow the link below to view available courses!You would be able to complete your AUSTSWIM observational hours here at the Lauriston pool, with a high prospect for ongoing employment.Our Aquatic Centre rules require employees to be a minimum 17 years of age as a Learn to Swim Teacher.Pool LifeguardsThe Pool Lifeguard is responsible for supervising the safety of patrons in the pool area as well as identifying and responding to potential risks and taking appropriate action to reduce those risks.To be successful in the role, you will have the following experience and qualifications: - Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Experience as a Pool Lifeguard
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills
