- $71 - 82.00 per hour + super
- Supporting the Executive Director, Aged Care Policy and Communications with regards to the assessment of applications by aged care providers to charge refundable accommodation deposits in residential aged care
- Establishing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Developing ministerial, Pricing Authority, committee and other papers and correspondence within the timeframes determined by the CEO
- Developing and reviewing policies, procedures and frameworks, as required, to support the Agency in effectively undertaking its role in the assessment of applications by aged care providers
- Developing and implementing the Agency's policies relating to the assessment of applications by aged care providers
- Providing expert advice on policy, complex problem solving, and issues management for internal and external stakeholders
- Undertaking work activities with an awareness of their possible impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes
- Working with a level of independence, under broad direction, with a concurrent need to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes
- Working with a focus on research, analysis and judgement to manage complex issues
- Developing or evaluating applications for presentation to the Pricing Authority or nominated delegate
- Communicating and making decisions that are based on professional judgement that have a high level of impact
- Coordinating and undertaking detailed or sensitive projects that impact on the Agency's strategic, political or operational outcomes.
- A detailed understanding of the aged care system, legislation and regulatory environment.
- Thorough understanding of business, commercial and financial knowledge relating to the aged care system.
- Experience in policy development at a national or state level and preferably within an aged care or healthcare context
- Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, health, public policy
