We are establishing a casual appointment pool for vacancies that arise up to 30 September 2026. Appointments will be made on a casual basis.Suitable candidates will be placed in the appointment pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise. Candidates found suitable through this process may be offered appointment to similar & subsequent vacancies within the College, within other TAFE Colleges or across WA Government (subject to candidate permission being granted). If the appointment pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, we reserve the right to supplement the pool through further advertising.About the TAFE

The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.To be successful in this role you will have a Certificate III in Animal Care Services; or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or higher and/or equivalent. The successful applicant will also have at least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning.There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the (Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however NM TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement.To work for the College, you may be required to hold Australian or Australian equivalent qualification(s). If your qualification has been obtained overseas, the Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU) offers a free assessment service to have your tertiary or higher education qualification(s) recognised.
