The OrganisationJoin a vibrant healthcare team in a diverse and thriving community. As a leading health service provider, you will be working for a company that offers a wide range of services including a 24-hour emergency department, surgery, medical services, women's and children's services, rehabilitation and palliative care, mental health, outpatients, and community-based health programs.The Child and Adolescent Unit comprises 12 beds and a treatment room and is staffed 24 hours a day by a highly dedicated team. This team includes Paediatric Nurses, Consultant Paediatricians and Hospital Medical Officers. Paediatric Allied Health Staff, including a Social Worker, Dietician, Speech Pathologist, Physiotherapist, Play Therapist and Mental Health Professionals complement the dedicated team.
The Job

As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will provide paediatric specialist services
You will assist the Clinical Director of Paediatrics in the administration of clinical and departmental meetings and the day-to-day running of the department
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will have the opportunity to lead and participate in research, clinical audit and peer review
You will provide leadership for junior medical and other clinical staff and support the Hospital's teaching, research, and clinical governance programs
You will participate in the emergency and after-hour on-call roster

Requirements

Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
