You will be responsible for contributing to the success of AIA Rehabilitation through the management of a portfolio of rehabilitation cases within the AIA Best Practice Rehabilitation Framework in the areas of RTW and Employability Assessment for Milestone and TPD Claims.Within this role you will provide rehabilitation strategy and advice to assist Claims deliver sustainable outcomes. You will contribute to best practice wellbeing initiatives and projects working across the business.To do this successfully you will:
- Be a passionate advocate for rehabilitation, making a difference to the lives of others and AIA’s Principles of Best Practice in Occupational Rehabilitation
- Work in an embedded claims model with the Rehabilitation Team to provide professional, quality and results focused rehabilitation outcomes
- Develop a partnership rehabilitation service in a constantly changing environment that best suit the customer, business and resource capability
- Provide strong technical support to the Claims Team and be available for ‘walk ups’ and case conferences
- Coaching, development and training of the Claims Team on rehabilitation
- Recommend physical, academic, work experience, vocational, and other evaluations to obtain information for assessing customers’ needs and developing rehabilitation plans
- Training and presentations to internal and external parties
- Work collaboratively with the Rehab Team and ensure open lines of communication are developed at an individual and team level.
- A background in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Physiotherapy, Injury Management or Registered Nursing
- Experience working within a Rehabilitation provider, clinical and/or claims environment
- The ability to develop and implement rehabilitation programs in line with AIA's Best Practice Rehabilitation Framework
- Being a subject matter expert in occupational rehabilitation including employability
- A commercial understanding of a claims environment, claims management models and practices, and knowledge of life risk products
