- Collaborate with business unit stakeholders to capture and translate business requirements into comprehensive architectural designs and solutions.
- Develop and maintain high-level and end-to-end detailed technical designs that span software, hardware, network, security, and integration.
- Document architectural information in a centralized repository using an architecture modelling tool, creating a robust and accessible resource for the department.
- Proactively identify potential technology bottlenecks and design scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions.
- Define and govern integration components, protocols, and interfaces, ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow across disparate systems.
- Ensure all designs align with the departmentu0027s integration strategy, patterns, and framework to deliver the most effective and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Evaluate and assess various technology options, frameworks, and platforms against the target state architecture, recommending the best solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Design solutions that not only meet business needs but also adhere to non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and security policies.
- Provide architectural leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Engage and work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and other teams, fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and effective communication.
- Articulate complex technical concepts and designs to diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Extensive Experience: Proven experience in an enterprise architecture role, demonstrating a broad understanding of technology domains, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premise infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, enterprise applications, and modern integration patterns (e.g., APIs, microservices).
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps, aligning them with business strategies and organisational goals.
- Architectural Frameworks: Strong knowledge of and practical experience with architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and the use of architecture modelling tools.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across different business units and technical teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of designing scalable and robust solutions to complex challenges.
