- Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering (essential).
- Detailed knowledge of hydraulic engineering procedures and practices in the water industry.
- Proven experience in investigation, concept, and detailed design of hydraulic infrastructure, and in auditing designs prepared by others.
- Demonstrated ability to execute complex and critical engineering investigations in the hydraulic discipline.
- Experience developing and reviewing technical and infrastructure standards.
- Provide technical expertise in hydraulic engineering matters across all stages of the asset lifecycle.
- Lead and support Safety in Design processes, ensuring WHS risks are eliminated or minimised.
- Review, develop, and maintain technical standards and guidelines for hydraulic engineering.
- Liaise with engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
- Undertake investigations, audits, and design reviews, ensuring compliance with corporate and legal obligations.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Support operational and maintenance strategies, including training and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Essential tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering.
- Detailed knowledge of hydraulic engineering in the water industry.
- Proven design, investigation, and auditing experience in complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
