Sunshine Nails Studio, located at 649 David Low Way, Pacific Paradise QLD 4564, is a professional salon dedicated to delivering high-quality beauty services. We are currently seeking a qualified Nail Technician to join our team on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week). The role offers a competitive annual salary of $75,000 – $78,000 plus superannuation.

Position Overview

The Nail Technician will be responsible for providing a full range of nail care services in accordance with industry standards, while maintaining exceptional hygiene practices and excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning and shaping nails, and caring for cuticles.
• Performing manicures and pedicures, including exfoliation and moisturising treatments.
• Applying and repairing artificial nails such as acrylics and gel extensions.
• Creating and decorating nail art designs using freehand painting, decals, gems, and other embellishments.
• Discussing clients’ nail care needs and recommending appropriate treatments, products, and aftercare.
• Maintaining hygiene and sterilisation standards, ensuring all tools and work areas meet health and safety requirements.
• Advising clients on and selling nail care products suitable for ongoing maintenance.
• Maintaining client records including service history and preferred treatments.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and substantial experience in nail and beauty services 

• High level of manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination for intricate work.
• Creativity and attention to detail in nail art and decoration.
• Strong customer service and communication skills to build rapport with clients.
• Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and chemical safety practices.
• Problem-solving skills to identify contraindications and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
