Full time Civil Engineer

Duties:

• Demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of factors influencing structural integrity, including sewer effects and Zone of Influence considerations, and integrated these insights into drainage design processes to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Conducted hydrological and hydraulic analysis using industry-standard software, such as DRAINS and MUSIC, to assess and enhance Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) strategies.

• Utilized advanced software tools like Civil 3D and AutoCAD to analyse surface gradients and produce detailed Civil designs, including driveway longitudinal profiles, swept-path analysis, and vehicle manoeuvring models, all in accordance with AS 2890 codes.

• Prepared flood impact assessment reports for flood-affected projects by reviewing relevant flood studies and floodplain controls, ensuring compliance with local council requirements.

• Developed detailed drainage design layouts, construction plans, and reports with AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with AS 3500: Plumbing and Drainage Code and local council engineering specifications.

• Conducted on-site inspections, assessments, and evaluations to ensure that engineering designs were implemented correctly, adhering to local council Development Control Plans and Australian standards.

• Provided expert technical advice and recommendations on stormwater drainage systems and developments.

• Collaborated closely with local council engineers and private clients to ensure regulatory compliance and secure approvals for Civil/Stormwater engineering projects.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant bachelor's degree or higher degree in the relevant fields is essential.
• Minimum three years of experience is required
• Expert skills in software- AutoCAD, CIVIL 3D, DRAINS, MUSIC.
• Knowledge on Australian Standards: AS 3500, AS 2890, AS 3725, AS 4058, SEPP codes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Outlook
• Computer competencies in Autocad, Sixmaps, MUSIC, Nearmaps, Drains is an advantage
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, along with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
