As our business continues to thrive, we’re looking for a skilled, creative, and hands-on Chef to bring flavour and finesse to every plate.

Position: Full-Time Chef

Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation

What You’ll Be Doing

This isn’t just about flipping pizzas (though we do make a great one) — it’s about leading a fast-paced kitchen, delivering consistency, and bringing passion to every meal. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of à la carte dishes including woodfired pizzas, grilled meats, seafood, and pastas

  • Planning and rotating seasonal menus, ensuring quality and innovation across all offerings

  • Estimating food and labour costs and maintaining stock levels, including ordering and supplier coordination

  • Supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene, timing, and teamwork

  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations

  • Monitoring food presentation, portion control, and quality consistency during service

  • Managing kitchen workflow during peak periods and coordinating prep for large tour group bookings

  • Contributing to the continual improvement of kitchen procedures and customer satisfaction

👨‍🍳 What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of working experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen

  • Strong background in both Italian and modern Australian cuisine

  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen with composure

  • Clear understanding of kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling regulations

  • Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities

  • Strong work ethic with flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and split shifts

  • A desire to live and work in one of Australia’s most unique remote towns
