As our business continues to thrive, we’re looking for a skilled, creative, and hands-on Chef to bring flavour and finesse to every plate.

Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation

What You’ll Be Doing
This isn’t just about flipping pizzas (though we do make a great one) — it’s about leading a fast-paced kitchen, delivering consistency, and bringing passion to every meal. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of à la carte dishes including woodfired pizzas, grilled meats, seafood, and pastas

Planning and rotating seasonal menus, ensuring quality and innovation across all offerings

Estimating food and labour costs and maintaining stock levels, including ordering and supplier coordination

Supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene, timing, and teamwork

Ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations

Monitoring food presentation, portion control, and quality consistency during service

Managing kitchen workflow during peak periods and coordinating prep for large tour group bookings

Contributing to the continual improvement of kitchen procedures and customer satisfaction
👨🍳 What We’re Looking For

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience

Minimum 1-2 years of working experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen

Strong background in both Italian and modern Australian cuisine

Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen with composure

Clear understanding of kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling regulations

Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities

Strong work ethic with flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and split shifts

A desire to live and work in one of Australia’s most unique remote towns
